Our Projects
FECE implements several projects which enhances climate change resilience and
contributes to inclusive sustainable development.
On-going Projects
Enhancing Climate Change Adaptation for Agro-pastoral communities in Kongwa
District, Tanzania.
This project is funded by Adaptation Fund with
the following objectives:
• Enhancing climate resilient rural water supply system in vulnerable agro-pastoral
communities at Mtanana and Ugogoni wards
• Transformation of exploitive agro-pastoral practices to diversified climate smart
and sustainable livelihoods
• Improving ecological functions to sustain climate sensitive livelihoods in Kongwa
District
• Strengthening capacities of institutions, extension services and trainers.
This initiative empowers local communities to secure their livelihoods while contributing to climate change mitigation and environmental sustainability.

Completed Projects

Mangrove Conservation and Restoration
Preserving coastal ecosystems through strategic mangrove conservation and restoration efforts to safeguard biodiversity.
Sustainable Workshop Initiatives
The Sustainable Workshop Initiatives are community-focused training programs designed to raise awareness about environmental protection and sustainable living practices. Through interactive workshops, FECE educates participants on climate change, renewable energy, conservation, and waste management. These sessions empower individuals and groups to adopt eco-friendly behaviors and contribute to building greener, more resilient communities. The initiative targets schools, youth groups, and rural populations, promoting sustainable development from the grassroots level.

Renewable Energy and Innovation
Advancing renewable energy technologies to drive a transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
Climate Change Resilience Initiative
TThe Climate Change Resilience Initiatives focus on helping communities prepare for and adapt to the impacts of climate change while reducing their environmental footprint. FECE implements projects that promote climate-smart agriculture, renewable energy adoption, and sustainable land management practices. These initiatives aim to strengthen community resilience against droughts, floods, and other climate risks by introducing sustainable solutions that protect both people and ecosystems. Through education, practical interventions, and policy advocacy, FECE fosters long-term climate resilience and environmental sustainability.

Clean Water Drilling Projects
The Clean Water Drilling Projects aim to solve water scarcity challenges by providing communities with sustainable, reliable access to clean water. Using modern drilling technologies combined with solar-powered pumping systems, FECE installs boreholes in schools, villages, and remote areas. These systems reduce reliance on traditional water sources and eliminate the need for fuel-based pumps. By ensuring safe drinking water and supporting sanitation efforts, the project improves public health, reduces the burden of water collection, and enhances community livelihoods.
